Ingersoll Rand recently launched a new line of aptiQ™ readers providing a range of improvements including increased performance, a modern design, new quick-connect wiring harness, and offering a variety of technological capabilities with smart, proximity, and multi-technology options. The aptiQ™ readers are the replacement for the Legacy SXF and XF reader series that will be discontinued at the end of 2012.

NOTICE OF DISCONTINUED PART NUMBERS
Notification Date: March 1, 2013

In order to consolidate and simplify the ordering process of our flagship iCLASS® brand products and solutions, HID Global® is discontinuing its 6000 series reader part numbers and replacing them with a fully backward compatible and functional equivalent 900 series readers.

Following is an overview of the 6000 series reader families being consolidated into the 900 series reader line:

iCLASS Read-Only readers
multiCLASS® with HID or Indala® Prox readers
multiCLASS with EM4102 Prox readers
iCLASS US Government FIPS 201 Compliant Read-Only readers
multiCLASS US Government FIPS 201 Compliant with HID or Indala Prox Read-Only readers

The last date for placing orders for the 6000 series will be May 31, 2013. This notice includes a download link to a guide to cross reference the current part number to the new corresponding 900 series part number in the iCLASS SE platform.

Important dates:

Formal customer notification date – March 01, 2013
Final date to order 6000 series part numbers – May 31, 2013*
Final shipping date of 6000 series part numbers – August 31, 2013*
Discontinuance of service and support of 6000 Series part numbers – March 01, 2014
